The Western Innovation Forum (WIF) is a virtual business-to-business meeting event that promotes western Canadian capabilities in the defence industry, including those capabilities with potential application in this growing sector. The event focuses on connecting innovators, companies and researchers with defence-related business and innovation-driven investment opportunities.
The main driver of WIF is to connect western Canadians with opportunities generated through the Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB) Policy. The event also aims to strengthen defence industry activity across the western provinces by promoting domestic trade and cross-provincial collaboration, supporting both regional economic development and the growth of Canada’s broader defence sector.
